 Send a DVD to Sea

DVDs sent to sea: nearly 2,000

The Send a DVD to Sea organization was formed to collect used and new DVD movies for distribution to military members deployed to US Navy aircraft carriers.

Combat cruises are normally six months in length, but given the unpredictability of world events a cruise can be extended for a significant amount of time. Life onboard an aircraft carrier can be rather tedious and there is a significant amount of stress.

Your donation of DVDs will positively impact the quality of life of the sailors and officers who are defending our country.

Send a DVD to Sea works with companies, schools, and individuals to collect and send DVDs to our deployed aircraft carriers. Here is how it works:

  • Send an email to and let us know you have an interest in participating in the program.
  • We will call you to schedule a drop-off of our DVD collection bin. We will leave this at your facility for up to two weeks. We will then return to pick-up the DVDs.
  • We will then send your DVDs to the ship.

VetAdvisor® TLC (Team Life Community)

VetAdvisor® TLC is an employee-founded group committed to completing one community service project in each quarter of the year. Recent beneficiaries have been the UnderArmor backpack/Wounded Warrior Project, the Cambria County Humane Society, and the Heroes Helpers Family Fun Day. VetAdvisor® TLC volunteers also participate in Ebensburg’s annual Dickens of a Christmas event.

Heroes Helpers Family Fun Day

Founded and run by VetAdvisor® employees, Heroes Helpers Family Fun Day is an annual Memorial Day event designed to give service men and women the opportunity to spend a stress free day strengthening their family bonds through a unique outdoor experience for all ages. Veterans are given the opportunity to take part in a variety of outdoor activities alongside their spouses and children, including climbing and rappelling, zip lines, low ropes courses, canoeing, games, crafts and even a GPS scavenger hunt. All activities as well as meals are provided free of charge thanks to VetAdvisor® and other corporate sponsors.
